The cinema of the future

the Cinéum of Cannes

The Cinéum in Cannes has just opened its doors and offers a truly futuristic cinema experience in a brand new complex. Although cinema has been in the city’s DNA for more than 70 years, it has lacked one last asset: a high-quality cinema complex with state-of-the-art equipment. This is now a reality with this brand new centre opening in the summer of 2021. But more than just cinemas, the Cinéum de Cannes is also a place to live and a cultural centre with immersive experiences behind the scenes of films!

Portrait of the Cinéum

12 cinemas, 2,450 seats, in addition to the 2,133 seats in the city centre cinemas, Les Arcades and Olympia. Enough to welcome all cinema lovers and film enthusiasts!

A futuristic design

Created by renowned architect Rudy Ricciotti and designer Arik Levy, this complex located west of Cannes, in the La Bocca district, looks like something out of a science fiction film!

Cutting-edge technology

It is the first in Europe to be equipped with the Dolby Atmos system and the first in France with Dolby Cinema technology.

Its 4K HFR laser projectors guarantee the best image quality. One of the theatres is equipped with the largest screen in south-eastern France, with a base of no less than 24 metres!

A cultural centre

The Cinéum also houses an immersive gallery with scenographies and an exhibition space to discover what goes on behind the scenes of the films!

A place to live

In its 9,000m², the Cinéum offers a restaurant and relaxation area.
