The districts of Cannes

Universes to explore

From its flamboyant Croisette to its preserved islands, via its lively city center, Cannes offers a unique mosaic of districts to discover. On foot, by bike, by boat or even by train, the possibilities are endless to explore each of them and enjoy their natural and cultural treasures.

City of personality(ies)

The Croisette, star of Cannes

Known throughout the world, this ribbon of promenade lined with beaches and palm trees hosts the famous Cannes Film Festival every year. Red carpet, glitter and celebrities, the boulevard de la Croisette gathers the greatest hotels of the city such as the Majestic, the Carlton or the Martinez. From the Port Canto to the Palais des Festivals et des Congrès, it is a real pleasure to stroll along this avenue.

A lively city center

Shopping and inviting terraces, Cannes town center has plenty to offer. From the luxury boutiques of the Carré d’Or to the big names of the rue d’Antibes, there is no lack of choice. Between two purchases, you can enjoy a little coffee on the terrace of Cours Félix Faure or rue Hoche.

Feeling peckish ? Indulge in the delicacies of rue Meynadier or the Forville market. In the centre of Cannes, hedonists are kings!

The authenticity of The Suquet

This hill overlooking Cannes is in a way the soul of the city. This is where it all began, when Cannes was just a village. Today, you can wander through the cobbled streets with delight. The bougainvilleas in bloom on sunny days, the small courtyards that follow one another are as many plunges into the Cannes of yesteryear. At the top, La Castre reveals its most beautiful panorama of the town and the surrounding countryside.

It is here, too, that history is told through the Church of Notre-Dame d’Espérance, built in 1627, and the old castle which has become the Museum of World Explorations, with its square tower. A beautiful route to explore on foot or on board the little tourist train.
