Description
Lively, fast-paced and unpredictable, Joan Tower’s *Chamber Dance* opens this programme with great flair.
Magdalene Ho, who demonstrated her infinite knowledge of Beethoven's Fourth Concerto at the Clara Haskil International Competition, will develop her clarity of touch and sense of phrasing, which earned her a particularly noteworthy first prize. Schubert closes the evening with his ‘Tragic’ Symphony, whose title promises a chiaroscuro that leaves plenty of room for melody. Holly Hyun Choe will conduct this contrasting concert, showcasing the orchestra's vast repertoire.
