The JW Marriott Cannes

an iconic 5* hotel by nature

The JW Marriott Cannes is one of the 5* hotels on the Croisette and certainly the most iconic. It owes its heritage to the Festival that it hosted during its first editions in the building then called Palais Croisette.

Today, this emblematic hotel offers an idyllic setting and some of the most luxurious services for a complete experience. Heated swimming pool, gourmet restaurant, luxury boutiques, bar, private beach and an exceptional rooftop.

Recently renovated, its modern architecture and haute-couture design make this luxury hotel a must see in Cannes!

The JW Marriott Cannes

the 5* hotel that pays tribute to the Festival

It all started here! Before being a 5* hotel on the Croisette, it was the first Palais des Festivals! Named Palais Croisette, it hosted the Festival from 1947 to 1982. From this heritage, the hotel has kept its soul and pays tribute to the cinema with black and white portraits of stars displayed in the corridors, rooms and suites. Catherine Deneuve embracing Jean-Paul Belmondo here, Brigitte Bardot contemplating there, it’s like being there!

The hotel has also preserved its 825-seat theatre. The Hollywood stars of the time attended the first Palmes d’Or awards. This place has become mythical and still hosts many shows today.

Did you know that?

The palm trees lining the Croisette, planted in the 1960s, mark a break right in front of the hotel… But do you know why? It was necessary to keep the view clear for the stars during the first Festivals that were held here. It was therefore forbidden to plant palm trees right in front of the hotel!

At the JW Marriott

enjoy a star-like experience

in the heart of the Croisette

Located on the Croisette, 250 metres from the Palais des Festivals, the JW Marriott offers a 5-star experience in a star-studded setting.

After a stroll along the seafront, take advantage of the hotel’s swimming pool, fitness centre and luxury boutiques.

For lunch or dinner, you have a choice of restaurants.

    • The Scalini Restaurant with its authentic and generous Italian cuisine
    • The Palais Stéphanie Beach Restaurant for cuisine with Mediterranean and Japanese influences, all in a strikingly beautiful setting overlooking the Lérins Islands and the Esterel.

The Palais Stéphanie Beach

a pure moment of escape with your feet in the water

Located in the heart of the Croisette, the hotel’s private beach, named Palais Stéphanie Beach, is a real jewel in the natural wooded setting. Facing the Lérins Islands, admire the view of the big blue.

  • In relaxation mode, the private beach: treat yourself to a day of relaxation in a cocooning and relaxing atmosphere. The cocktail menu signed by an expert in mixology and a beach menu are offered all day long.
  • In fun mode, the water activities: banana, wakeboard, buoy, water skiing, something to have fun with family or friends.
  • In gourmet mode, the  restaurant: the beach welcomes you around its restaurant for lunch or dinner. Two menus offer you the choice between seasonal Mediterranean cuisine or Japanese specialities by the sushiman chef Phai.
  • In DJ mode, have a drink at sunset to the sound of a DJ who will set the mood for your early evening.
  • In fireworks mode, it’s downright magical! During the fireworks of the famous Pyrotechnics Art Festival every summer in Cannes, book your table or simply your deckchair with cocktail. An unforgettable experience!

Newly renovated JW Marriott

The JW Marriott is reinventing itself and is getting a new look in 2021 after a year of work. While preserving its authenticity, even more luxurious services will enhance it. This extraordinary renovation is being carried out in perfect harmony with the redevelopment of the Croisette, which is taking place at the same time.

  • contemporary architecture created by French and Italian teams
  • avant-garde and haute-couture design with exceptional Knoll and Minotti furniture, Italian marble and carpets signed by Christian Lacroix through his Ege brand
  • “inside” technology with a latest generation escalator and state-of-the-art equipment in the conference rooms

The rooms were already renovated in 2009, but this time the bathrooms and terraces of the 261 rooms and 50 suites have been beautifully renovated.
