  • ...GELATERIA ARTIGIANALE. The story begins with the realization of the childhood dream of Marco, the French-Italian founder of PAPILLA and Perrine's father. In 2010, he opened his shop on the shores of Lake Maggiore.

  • Dreaming of living his passion for the taste of good ice cream, he follows the path of his friend Lorenzo, Artisan Glacier.

    Marco decided to return to France in 2012.

    Having passed on his passion for artisanal ice cream to his son-in-law, David changes direction and obtains his ice cream maker diploma.     In 2015, they were elected "Best Ice Cream Maker in France".

    In 2017, Marco retires, David creates with a particular attention and has for first credo the excellence of his ice cream making. Thus, he selects natural ingredients, which they skilfully mix with high quality raw materials to obtain a good simple and authentic ice cream. He does not compromise on the quality of the ice cream, sorbets or on the artisanal production itself.

    The team is growing. Perrine, Marco's daughter and David's companion, joins the company, to which are added four more shops on the French Riviera.

    PAPILLA in 2021 evolves while preserving the values that David and Perrine defend on a daily basis.

    PAPILLA manufactures in its Laboratory/Workshop, ice creams and sorbets that can be ordered and taken away or tasted in the 1st PAPILLA Ice Cream Parlour in Châteauneuf de Grasse.

    In 7 years, the small ice cream brand PAPILLA has grown.

    If going up to Châteauneuf de Grasse is difficult, you will discover all the PAPILLA flavours in the shops in Cannes, Juan-les-Pins or even Nice.

    Because they are all "PAPILLA addicts" they wanted to share and discover the treasure that is PAPILLA.
