The palaces are inseparable from the history of Cannes, they have contributed and still contribute to perfecting its magic. The InterContinental Carlton was the first to receive its 5th star, and was soon joined by the JW Marriott Cannes, the Majestic Barrière, the Hôtel Martinez, the Grand Hôtel and the Five Seas Hotel. All located along the Croisette or within walking distance, they are part of the eternal Cannes postcard with their white Art Deco facades.
The top-of-the-range market is very important with about a hundred 4 and 5 stars, almost as dense as the other categories (1, 2 and 3 stars). Unclassified hotels are few and far between and offer a cheap alternative.
