The largest of the Lérins Islands is a beautiful jewel with incredible wilderness and a rich history. Sainte-Marguerite is known for the legend of the Man in the Iron Mask, the famous prisoner of the Fort Royal on the island. It also attracts walkers who come to enjoy a stroll in the heart of the island and sports on the island.

Since February 2021, the island has had an underwater eco-museum that is freely accessible by swimming only a hundred metres from the island’s beaches.
