    Louis de Funès, the exhibition:
An exhibition produced by La Cinémathèque française, Paris
The exhibition looks back at the hundred or so roles played by Louis de Funès, whose successes are regularly seen over and over again in France and around the world, and who is now celebrated by five generations of spectators.
It shows and deciphers the sources of inspiration and the comedic springs of Louis de Funès, in particular through his burlesque genius of observation which led him to the top of the box-office at the age of 50. This exhibition is an invitation to discover the actor in all his facets through a collection of nearly 300 works. These include the car from Le Corniaud, the costume from Rabbi Jacob... but also photographs, paintings, drawings, sculptures, period documents and film extracts that make you want to see all these great classics again.
The exhibition is curated by Alain Kruger, with the assistance of Thibaut Bruttin.
